General Information[]
NOTE: All of the names are taken from the image file names and are very likely not the actual names.
The enemies in Neon Abyss can be broadly categorized into types where some of the enemies are present in almost all types (with the type-specific specialty) while some enemies are exclusive to a certain type.
Bear-Type[]
Bear enemies are tough enemies, they can be scary to deal with - especially on the higher difficulty levels.

Big One Bear | Charges up a shot targeted at the player once in range. The projectile can pass through walls, which can be annoying to deal with. | |
Bear Fly | This bear will fly above the player, dropping bombs once engaged. | |
Bear Jumper | For it's attack, jumps in the air and shoots projectiles in a star pattern outwards. These projectiles cannot pass through walls. | |
Laser Bear | Shoots a laser beam in a straight line from his eyes after a short charge up time. | |
Multishot Bear | Shoots three projectiles in a curved angle towards the player. | |
Rush Bear | Charges towards the player. When hitting the player or a wall, regular or flaming stone bear heads will fall from the ceiling. | |
Rush Bear Shooter | Charges towards the player. While charging foward, shoots green flame projectiles out of his back in the opposite direction. |
Bomb-Type[]
Bomb-type enemies will usually explode on contact or death.

Cell-Type[]
Cell-type enemies will mostly remain harmless until attacked. Some variants will turn hostile once near the player.

Cell Jellyfish | Hovers in the air. Only starts shooting once attacked, otherwise passive. Shoots triangular projectiles straight downwards that split into two projectiles when hitting the ground. On death: Drops a projectile that will transform into a spike-ball on the ground that persist for a couple seconds. | |
Cell Jumper | Jumps towards the player dealing damage on contact. | |
Cell Spider | Hangs on the ceiling and shoots projectiles in a triangular pattern downwards. |
Flower-Type[]
Flower enemies come in two types - stationary and moving, shooting a range of different projectiles.

Flower Dancer | Walks left/right when idle. Attacks through spinning around really fast, hitting the player in melee range. | |

Bullet Flower Dancer | Spins around in place when attacking, shooting triangular projectiles upwards at a steep angle. These projectiles bounce off walls once. | |
Flower Spout | Stationary. Shoots a single projectile upwards that will bounce once. | |
Bouncy Flower Spout | Stationary. Shoots two triangular projectiles upwards that will bounce once off walls. | |
Double Flower Spout | Stationary. Shoots a projectile left and right that will bounce off walls. | |
Flower Walker | Shoots three projectiles in a curved angle towards the player. | |
Bomb Flower Walker | Throws out bombs while running left/right. | |
Bouncy Flower Walker | Shoots a projectile that bounces off walls. |
Iron-Type[]
Iron-type enemies are heavily armored. They will however drop their protection when they attack the player.

Iron Jellyfish | Hovers stationary in the air. Shoots two laser balls straight downwards that will split into two balls upon hitting a surface. The split-off balls fly away in a star pattern from the point of impact. | |
Iron Snake | Flies towards the player and shoots a projectile. |
Music-Type[]
Music enemies characteristically shoot projectiles based around music (e.g. music notes).

Music Head | Flies diagonally around the room bouncing off walls. Drops bombs in certain intervals. | |

Music Jumper | Jumps towards the player dealing damage on contact. After it jumps, spawns an equalizer field that damages the player on contact and persists for a couple seconds. | |
Music Snake | Flies towards the player to shoot a stream of music notes at them. |
Nut-Type[]
Nut enemies are among the first enemies a player will encounter in the dungeon. They are quite resistant to damge, but not as much as the Iron-Type.

Nut Drill | Burrows in and out of the floor and walls. While out of ground will attack by shooting a laser ball projectile at the player. | |
Nut Head | Flies diagonally around the room bouncing off walls. Drops bombs in certain intervals. | |
Nut Jellyfish | Shoots two laser ball projectiles straight downwards. The projectiles will move along the floor to the left and right of their impact point. | |
Nut Jumper | Jumps towards the player to bite them. | |
Nut Mage | Teleports to the player to attack them in melee range. | |
Nut Snake | Flies towards the player to shoot a laser ball projectile at them. | |
Nut Spider | Hangs on the ceiling shooting laser ball projectiles in a triangular pattern downwards. |
Robot-Type[]
Robot enemies are all ranged attackers. They usually show up in combination with monsters of the other types.

Wall Multi Robot | Walks along the ceiling only. Shoots three laser ball projectiles in a triangular pattern downwards if the player runs underneath it. |
Spike-Type[]
Spike enemies will all always deal damage on contact.

Spike Drill | Burrows in and out of the floor and walls. While out of ground will attack by shooting a triangular projectile at the player. If the projectile hits the floor, it spawns a Spike Egg on impact. | |
Spike Egg | Slowly grows bigger until it hatches a Spike Crab. | |
Spike Head | Flies diagonally around the room bouncing off walls. Drops a triangular projectile in certain intervals that will spawn a Spike Egg when it hits the floor. | |
Spike Jellyfish | Shoots a triangular projectiles straight downwards. The projectiles will split upon impact into two projectiles that bounce once off the floor. | |
Spike Mage | Teleports to the player to attack in melee range while also shooting 4 triangular projectiles diagonally outwards when attacking. | |
Spike Snake | Flies towards the player to shoot two triangular projectiles at them. | |
Spike Spider | Hangs on the ceiling shooting triangular projectiles in a triangular pattern downwards. |
Zombie-Type[]
Zombie enemies are amongst the first the player encounters. They are quite squishy compared to other types, but will spawn other zombie monsters on death.

Zombie Mage | Teleports to the player to attack in melee range. On death: Spawns a Small Zombie Bat. | |
Zombie Snake | Flies towards the player to shoot a laser ball projectile at them. On Death: drops a bomb. | |
Zombie Spider | Hangs on the ceiling shooting laser ball projectiles in a triangular pattern downwards. | |
Zombie Split Ball | Jumps towards the player dealing damage on contact if they land on the player. On death: Spawn two Zombie Split Jumper. | |
Zombie Split Jumper | Jumps actively away from the player. After a couple seconds will transform into a Zombie Split Egg. | |
Zombie Split Egg | Slowly grows until it hatches into a Zombie Split Ball. |
Other[]

Toy Fast Jumper | Jumps towards the player and deals damage if it lands on them. On death: Spawns a Bear Jumper. |
