This page will serve as a basic how to play guide for Neon Abyss. While there is very little information available at this time, we urge you to check back often, as new information is being added occasionally. Feel free to edit this guide with any tips, tricks, and suggestions.

Basic gameplay[ | ]

The gameplay of Neon Abyss consists of moving and shooting in the different levels, while finding some items, weapons and Eggs on the road to the final boss.

Before each run, you can change your character in the Character Station, adjust the difficulty of the run you're gonna do with the Neon Panel at the left of the Bar, and the Bartender allows you to choose your target and buy some powerups.

There is also a Broken Statue, and a Seed Code Terminal next to the bar. When everything is set up, jump into the pit to begin your run.

To access the final boss, you will need to complete the levels to go to it first. For example, if your target is Argos, you will have to complete 4 floors with sub bosses before accessing the final floor, with Argos.

The number of sub floors to access the bosses depends of your target choice.

While the sub-bosses will be chosen randomly in the sub-floors, the bosses will remain always in the same floor (Argos will always be in floor 5, even if you choose another boss).

You will fall directly in the dungeon, in a safe zone with a Teleport Stone. You will see many informations on the screen:

Tips and tricks[ | ]

  • Stay as close as possible to the closed doors during a fight to avoid enemy shots. Try to be close enough to have your target in your line of sight, or else stay on an elevated position to avoid ground enemies.
