General Information[]
The Abyss is the procedurally generated dungeon in Neon Abyss. Each floor of the dungeon consists of Teleporter Rooms connected to each other via Combat Rooms. Every floor has a Boss Room with a boss to beat to advance to the next floor.
There are seven main floors, and the potential for additional floors if the player finds certain items to reach said floors during the run.
Each of the main floors will be generated with an Item Room, a Shop and a Challenge Room. Once unlocked via Upgrades, the Hidden Room as well as Special Rooms will also be part of the dungeon generation.
The additional floors follow special generation rules, which are specified in the corresponding sections.
On every floor, the player will initially start off in a special Teleporter Room which always shows the number of the current floor.
Main Floors[]
Floor 1[]
- This floor features mostly Nut- and Zombie-Type enemies.
- All items offered in the Shop are always discounted by 50%.
- The door to the Item Room can be opened without the need for a .
- In the Challenge Room, players will only face two waves of enemies instead of three.
- Any bonus gained from the Guardian Statue will be applied to the floor.

Floor 2[]
- Monster variety increases.
- The Shop is no longer discounted.
- The door to the Item Room now requires a to open.
- From here on, Challenge Rooms require the player to defeat three waves of enemies.

George, Tik, Sam, Kimmy, Chain, Tommy, Nick, Remington, McTucky, Daniel, Arden, Pewdie
Floor 3 + 4[]
- All types of monsters are available from here on.
- The bosses of these floors will be the second variant of the floor 1+2 bosses.

Charlie, Tok, Sung, Kimmy, Block, Freddy, Hunt, Colt, McFamily, Phil, Laero.
Floor 5[]
- This is the first floor featuring a Manager as the floor's boss.
- From this floor onwards, players will take a full heart/shield of damage from all sources.
- The door to the Item Room now requires 2x to open.
- From this floor onwards, Wall Lasers may generate in Combat Rooms.

Floor 6[]
- After defeating Argus for the first time, subsequent runs end on this floor until the boss is defeated for the first time.

Floor 7[]
- After defeating Hal, all runs will generally end on this floor, if no item is picked up during the run to generate one of the additional floors.

Additional Floors[]
These floors have special requirements that players must meet before access is granted.
Floor 8[]
- This floor will only generate if the player has picked up one of the Faith Coins (either Athena Token or Ares Token) during the run.
- Dependant on the Faith Coin, this floors tileset will either be Violence- or Wisdom-themed.
- Opening the corresponding Faith Room on this floor, lets the player fight either cursed Ares or Athena.
- The rest of the floor's generation follows the same rules as previous floors.

Floor 9[]
- This floor can only be reached by defeating either cursed Ares or Athena on floor 8.
- It features only a single Teleporter Room with a Shop, the Boss Room and one random beneficial room (e.g. Shield Room).

- This floor will always generate before the next regular floor.
- This floor's generation will vary depending on the Ticket that is used. (Refer to Level-? for more detailed info.)

- It is possible to aquire multiple tickets during a run resulting in multiple extra floors, extending the maximum (theoretically) possible number of floors to 15.
